A modern interface and easy-to-use navigation are the defining features of the updated and newly-designed campus Wi-Fi website, launched this week by Information Technology Services (ITS).
Features include resources to help University of Toronto (U of T) students, faculty, staff and guests connect to campus Wi-Fi as well as maintenance/coverage updates. The new website also makes it simple for users to share their wireless satisfaction using the “share your feedback” button, located right on the homepage.
“The redesigned campus wireless website is much cleaner and easier to navigate and really puts the focus on two things: how to connect and how to let us know if we are – or aren’t – providing great service,” said Director of Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Patrick Hopewell. “I really hope our users will take advantage of the quick and easy feedback mechanism to let us know how we are doing so that we can continuously improve the campus wireless experience across all three campuses.”
Also noteworthy is the availability of real-time data, such as usage maps and statistics on active wireless connections, across all three campuses (found within the “Coverage” and “Status” pages).
Conveniently, the “Need help?” section directs anyone in need of help connecting to the campus wireless network to the Information Commons help desk or users can report an issue(s) through an online form.
