This document is for system administrators migrating staff users from SecurID to eToken and those wanting to obtain broader use case technical setup and usage information. Please review the eToken Technical FAQ for new information/changes.
The SecurID card is currently used by staff using the following clients: ROSI HostExplorer terminal program, ROSI Rocketshuttle database browser, ROSI Entire Connect terminal, ROSI Express (web browser client), SAPgui for AMS and RPT. All of these, with one exception, can currently be used with eToken. ROSI Express is not available yet. To migrate these to eToken, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN is used and must be installed on all desktops that will use the above applications. In addition, client upgrading/patching/configuration is required. The documentation for each client is listed below.
The eToken device can be used with a number of clients. For web clients (or browsers), the Apache and IIS web server can be easily configured to require X.509 certificates (which the eToken contains) for authentication.
*** Required for all eToken users ***
