Enterprise networking

The Enterprise Networking group designs, builds and operates the University’s campus core network, wireless network, wide-area networks and access to commercial Internet, and Research & Education networks.  Network Infrastructure staff also provide the engineering and operational resources for GTAnet (www.gtanet.ca), the University’s gateway to the Provincial and National Research and Education community. The network infrastructure group supports many underlying services necessary for the operation of these networks , e.g. DNS, DHCP, carrier-grade NAT, etc.

Services offered to departments include network design consultation for structured building wiring systems, switching and network infrastructure solutions; specialized network connectivity, switch maintenance services; and virtual firewall services.
